Flexible Hose Assemblies

Metal Hoses

Metal hose assemblies are widely used in every sphere of industry, power generation, process plant, manufacturing, and construction to provide flexible connections in all manner of applications. From high temperature exhaust connections to low temperature cryogenic service, metal hose assemblies provide protection from the effects of vibration and thermal expansion on pipe connections, plant items, and equipment, while safely conveying gases, liquids, and solids alike.

CREON UK offer metal hose assemblies in two commonly used forms; Corrugated, or sometimes referred to as Convoluted hose, and Stripwound hoses, commonly referred to as ‘lock’ section or ‘interlock’.

Stainless Steel Corrugated Hoses

Offered up to 400mm NB
Suitable for high temperature (exhaust gas) and low temperature (cryogenic) service
Can be provided un-braided, or ‘core’ only for low pressure applications
Can be provided with outer braiding for higher pressure service
Smoother bore option available
Multiple End-Connection Coupling options in carbon and stainless steel, flanges, pipes, unions etc
Resistant to chemically corrosive media
Vibration absorption
Internal Liners available
External coverings can be included to provide protection against wear, puncture or penetration, dirt and particulate ingress of the corrugations, anti-kinking, thermal insulation

Specialist Products

CRSS and CRHS – Ultra flexible convoluted hose with more convolutions per unit length than standard convoluted hose, so offering increased flexibility
CRX2 – Convoluted hose in AISI 316 stainless steel comprising two heavy external braids for higher pressure applications
Hose assemblies with integral elbows and multiple direction changes
Double jacketed hoses
Electrically heated hoses

Stripwound Hoses

Stainless steel and galvanised mild steel options
Often used as a conduit hose for conveying granulates, ash, exhaust gases and, ventilation
Unpacked and packed sections available for greater gas tight sealing
Smooth inner wall construction available
Durable construction, can be used as both internal and external mechanical protection for corrugated hoses
